Mission

The Mission of MEDTSEA is to represent professional providers of traffic safety training and education within the State of Maine, and advocate on their behalf with State Government through rule making and laws that will enhance the viability of professional educators and trainers. Develop continuing educational opportunities, and promote an increased awareness of traffic safety among Maine’s citizens.

To that end, we are committed to continue the education of driving professionals. Sign up to be added to our newsletter and join us on our journey.

Who we are

Maine Driver and Traffic Safety Education Association known as MEDTSEA

Was founded and incorporated as a 501 (c) 3 in December of 2010. Gerry Clifford, a lifelong driver educator from Maine and Vermont and a retired school teacher, was our first president and founding father. Carl Joy Jr. succeeded Gerry and helmed MEDTSEA for 8 years. MEDTSEA has been very proactive since our inception and is always looking for ways to improve driver education, traffic safety especially new young novice drivers, and distracted driving concerns. Our Current Board of Directors is comprised of Anthony Vine (President) Michael Hancher (Vice President) Michael Chambers (Treasurer) Ben Mullen (Secretary) and Board members Glenn Soucie and A.J. Joy.
