April 24th in Fairfield.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">So, you think you can\u00a0drive 2.0 ?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MEDTSEA\u00a0is putting\u00a0together a skills-based day of learning.<strong>\u00a0A closed range course will\u00a0be\u00a0created\u00a0that will cover and test skills in:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>3-Point Turn<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Precision Forward &amp; Reverse&nbsp;Driving<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Basic Control &amp; Maneuvering\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Each trainee will complete the course 2 times.  Once for  a base line for time and and ability and once distracted.<\/strong><em> <\/em><em>We will use drunk googles or required texting for the second (and distracted) trial. <\/em>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>We will also offer a limited on road verbal distraction course.<\/strong>   This will be proctored by an instructor in the car and the driver will be made to follow specific instructions via blue tooth verbal commands.  In the state of Maine this level of distraction is legal on road for commercial drivers &#8211; does that mean it is safe?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><span class=\"uppercase\">Urgent maneuvers<\/span><\/strong> &#8211; you ask the student to turn, what if they dont?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>eye mirrors!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>We will then break into small groups to discuss what obstacles derail success and our current solutions.
